The End
The way you reach the end has been overhauled thanks to end remastered and restricted portals. Much like other systems in the modpack, this is not only for balance but to encourage exploration.
How it works
Unlike in vanilla Minecraft where you only need to get 12 eyes of ender to access the end. In Better Beta regular eyes of ender no longer work. Instead you will need to either find or craft 12 various different eyes found throughout the game in various ways, these ways can be something as simple as crafting it with materials from the ocean, or as complex and difficult as killing the Wither. Each eye put into the end frames needs to be different and can not be duplicates.

Stronghold poem / Riddle
Upon entering the stronghold the player is given a book, this book contains a poem / riddle which reveals / hints towards the next step in order to enter the end. Once the player figures out what item is required, the end will open up allowing the player to freely enter and continue on to the dragon fight.

Elytra
The elytra has been completely overhauled in the modpack. No longer do elytra spawn in end cities in ships, but rather are crafted from a new drop that is dropped from the ender dragon. Alongside a whole selection of overhauled features, nerfed mechanics, and new enchants
Mechanical overhauls and nerfs
Updrafts
Crouching on a campfire while an elytra is equipped allows you to launch vertically when you release the crouch key. This also means that if you fly over campfire smoke you get shot upwards in the updraft.
Firework Contrails
Fireworks no longer work to boost the elytra, the replacement / overhaul is explained further down in the enchant section. Instead, fireworks purely are cosmetic and leave a smoke trail behind the place while flying.
Campfire Stacking
Campfire smoke travels higher up depending on how many other campfires are adjacent to the source campfire.
Enchants
Smokestack
Smokestack allows the player to store "boosts" while crouching on campfires, you then press the jump key while flying to use a boost like a rocket. You are limited to a maximum number of boosts stored at a time, level 1 smokestack has 1 boost, level 2 has 2, level 3 has 3.
Cloudskipper
Cloudskipper reduces horizontal drag depending on the players altitude, allowing the player to glide for much longer and at much higher speeds while above cloud layer.
